About the role

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Site Engineer to manage on-site construction activities and ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.
Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Liaise with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities as required.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Prepare and submit site reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during the construction stage.
Monitor material usage and site resources to reduce wastage.
Ensure all works comply with local regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
Attend site meetings and coordinate project activities with stakeholders.
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost control.
Review method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures.
Ensure proper implementation of workplace safety and health (WSH) requirements.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant construction site experience.
Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering practices.
Familiarity with local building regulations and safety requirements.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, consultants, subcontractors, or site stakeholders when required.
