Assistant Key Account Manager - Marine Engineering

Work Location: Tuas, Singapore
Working Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
Monthly Salary: Base up to $6500 +Commissions + Variable Bonus (VB) + Allowance
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent Contract

Responsibility

Technical Sales Support - Provide pre‑sales and after‑sales technical support, prepare presentations and proposals, and collaborate with engineering teams to design client‑focused solutions.
Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the marine and shipping sectors, conduct regular visits, and act as the primary contact for technical and commercial queries.
Sales Process Contribution - Identify and secure new business opportunities, participate in tender preparation and contract negotiations, and maintain accurate sales records and forecasts.
Market Insights & Feedback - Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, gather customer feedback, and recommend service improvements to management.
Project Coordination - Ensure smooth handover of confirmed projects to operations teams, support service execution, and participate in post‑project reviews for continuous improvement.
Ad‑hoc Duties - Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Sales Manager or General Manager to support overall business objectives.

Requirements

Minimum Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or related field
Minimum 3 years of proven sales/technical support experience in in marine turbocharger MRO or related marine engineering services
Strong technical knowledge of marine propulsion systems, especially turbochargers from major OEMs (ABB, MAN, MET, etc.) is an added advantage
Strong interpersonal skills for well communications.
Candidate who can start immediately or within short notice will be preferred
