Responsibilities

Manage, maintain, and support database environments including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL
Perform database installation, configuration, migration, upgrade, backup, recovery, and patching activities
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database efficiency and availability
Support project implementation and provide database deployment activities based on project requirements
Perform database health checks, preventive maintenance, and routine monitoring
Implement change requests, Service Requests, and database-related operational tasks
Work closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and customers for issue resolution and project delivery.
Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with company policies
Follow up with vendor/product support for database-related incidents and technical issues
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational reports
Support after-office-hours maintenance or project activities when required

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in database administration
Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate (OCA) or equivalent database certification is preferred
Hands-on experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL database administration
Experience in database backup, recovery, performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting
Familiar with Linux and Windows server environments
Knowledge of database security, high availability, replication, and disaster recovery concepts is an advantage
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
Able to manage daily support tasks and meet SLA requirements
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team
Candidate must be flexible for after-office-hours support or project activities when required
