The Opportunity

Adecco is partnering with a global technology company to look for an experienced environmental professional to lead environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance for APAC network infrastructure projects, including subsea and terrestrial fiber optic cable systems.
The position sits under the Infrastructure Data Center organization and works closely with internal stakeholders such as engineering, legal, policy, communications, and operations teams, as well as external regulators, consultants, and suppliers.

The Talent

More than 12 years of experience in environmental science, engineering, planning, or related fields
Strong experience in APAC environmental permitting and pre-development/EIA processes
Expertise in subsea, marine, telecom, energy, power, or oil & gas infrastructure projects
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across global teams
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, scaling environment

Preferred qualifications include:

Experience with subsea fiber optic cable or telecom permitting
Familiarity with marine and coastal ecosystems
Experience managing environmental risk on joint investment or multi-partner projects
Background in environmental consulting, oil & gas, telecom, or infrastructure sectors

Job Description

Lead environmental permitting and regulatory compliance efforts across APAC network projects
Manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and environmental approvals
Identify and mitigate environmental and permitting risks throughout the project lifecycle
Align permitting timelines with project delivery schedules
Review consultant reports and provide guidance on environmental strategies
Support subsea cable and coastal/marine infrastructure developments
Ensure compliance with local regulations and international environmental conventions
Develop environmental training, awareness, and governance processes internally
Coordinate with cross-functional global teams and external agencies
