The Role:

Report directly to the President and play a key role in providing strategic financial planning, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and driving initiatives to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

. Manage day-to-day operations, including accounts payable & receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

. Develop and monitor annual budgets in alignment with the institution's strategic goals.

. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to management.

. Conduct financial analysis to support the planning of future academic programs and initiatives.

. Implement and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

. Collaborate with heads of departments to forecast and optimise resources.

. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, statutory requirements, and reporting standards.

. Manage cash flow and optimise financial operations to support the institution's growth.

. Review monthly payroll and perform bank submissions for staff and adjunct lecturers.

. Oversee and manage all tax-related matters, including GST reporting and filing, corporate tax compliance, and liaison with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities.

. Ensure timely submission of all statutory filings and regulatory requirements, including annual returns, surveys, and other compliance obligations with relevant government agencies.

. Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and recommendations.

. Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, and implement necessary updates to ensure ongoing compliance.

. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

. Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

. Professional certifications such as CPA(Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).

. 3-5 years of progressive financial management experience, within an international private education setting.

. Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's financial regulations and accounting standards.

. Strong business acumen, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting skills.

. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

. Proficiency in Xero/Quickbook online would be an advantage.
