Responsibilities

Design, program, and implement large-scale distributed systems using microservices architecture.
Demonstrate deep understanding of application, infrastructure, and security architecture, including non-functional aspects such as performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
Translate functional requirements into robust technical and architectural designs.
Collaborate with technical SMEs to gather requirements and ensure alignment to solution design.
Define best practices, governance, and standards for microservices implementation.
Identify and establish reusable implementation patterns across teams.
Lead the development of accelerators, tools, and frameworks to improve engineering productivity and quality.
Evaluate industry technologies and propose adoption strategies based on cost, scalability, compatibility, and usability.
Recommend updates or changes to technology platforms and systems to meet operational and customer needs.
Drive continuous optimisation of technologies, platforms, and system utilisation.
Highlight design risks, propose mitigation strategies, and recommend high-quality solutions.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of technical experience in architecture, backend integration, and enterprise development.
Strong hands-on experience developing Java/J2EE applications with solid Spring Boot expertise.
Deep knowledge of SOA, microservices architecture, REST and SOAP service development.
Proficiency in Core Java fundamentals, Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, Cucumber, and related testing frameworks.
Strong application of design patterns and clean coding principles.
Hands-on experience building scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and SOAP services.
Experience with middleware and messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, Kafka, and exposure to event-driven patterns.
Experience working with Spring Cloud components.
Strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Experience configuring and implementing Azure Open Service Mesh for Pod-to-Pod communication.
Experience with Azure API Gateway (APIM) for API management.
Hands-on experience writing deployment pipelines for Kubernetes-based microservice deployments.
Strong capability in defining Swagger specifications and applying REST design principles.
Knowledge of OAuth token-based authentication and security protocols.
Knowledge of PCI requirements and secure coding standards.
Experience with MSSQL, data modelling, query optimisation, and complex query development.

Good to Have

Experience migrating TIBCO services to Spring Boot microservices.
Exposure to gaming or hospitality industry environments.
