The holiday season is also a time for a reality check. A recent <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/business\/india-business\/heres-why-indian-employees-hesitate-taking-leaves\/articleshow\/63124283.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">survey<\/a> states that most Indian employees hesitate about taking leaves during the festive season while many cannot afford to \u2018switch off\u2019 even on holidays. A startling 65% of employed Indians had leftover holiday allowance at the end of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif\">While you may not be the only one who\u2019s facing the possibility of leave-rejection, it is important to understand why you are in this situation. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif\">Try these tips next time you\u2019re asking for a long leave. <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif\"><strong>Be aware:<\/strong> Analyze your leave-taking history. Chances are that if you have a track record of requesting leaves at the busiest times of the year, your boss may have grown to dislike your habit. <\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif\"><strong>Be articulate:<\/strong> Understand the best way to communicate your need.
